AlvinDesign Lead – Design
I learned how to draw before I started writing.
I was 4 years old and bored one lazy afternoon. Like any restless child, I picked up a pencil and a sheet of paper and started drawing my grandmother while she was taking a nap - when she was supposed to babysit me! It was the first of many creative endeavours that lead me to other ones - including constantly redecorating my mom's kitchen wall.
And then I got older.
I create opportunities to learn all the time. Throughout my career my point of view has remained very consistent. I’ve stuck with it all my life but what I have changed is what I can do. I've learned other skills since — digital design, branding, marketing campaigns, creating immersive digital experiences, photography, a bit of copywriting — a lot of other things that allowed me to have that point of view in different mediums. The more you try to quench your thirst for learning, the more knowledgeable you become, and the better the solutions you can offer to challenges and requirements.
